ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I have been working with Brett Strasma for over a year on this song. It was written in my basement while reflecting on the little girl(s) we will be adopting. I wondered where she is and how she feels and how she will feel in the years to come. It is a long hard difficult and rewarding process that reflects the heart of God. That's pretty cool.

I played acoustic, keys, bass, and did the programming in my little project studio and we tracked the vocals at Splash Studios. I called Whitney Winkler a day before I was going to be in Memphis, TN to see if she would like to lay down some vocals. I set up a super makeshift studio at her husbands church in midtown Memphis and she dropped some of the most beautiful vocals I have ever heard. David Yen tracked the violin parts in is living room in Chicago and then emailed them to me. The ability to pull together musicians from all over the place to collaborate on a composition is truly remarkable. I am so grateful for each of these people and hope that the song makes a sweet impression on my little girl(s).

Thanks for listening and supporting what will become our life's work. God bless, Matthew
