skynyrd luvr

tribute to the 70's my favorite time!
this has all the elements of a great album and good variety i thought it was a tribute to lynrd skynrd when i bought it but it don't matter! these songs grow on ya like swampgrass
sounds more ac/dc in parts but the vocals are incredible
and the blues based guitarwork caught my ear right off the bat
i was hopin to ifnd more info on the band and realised fatt matt was in an 80's METAL band with the drummer from journey and ozzy osbourne! that explains the powerful voice and some of the songs he may be a far sight from downhome'Bama but hes got my vote.

Great songs and lyrics
We know matt is a metal god but this time out he is a real songwriter with passionate lyrics and great music as a wild dogs fan since high school i was surprised and entertained by the depth of this wild man's insight my faves are those days are gone a story of how our life is too pc and all the things we use to do are now forbidden or discouraged,
and the first track Dammned is damn near AC/DC in style and attack.
We all know Matt Mccourt lovingly as Fatt Matt he was the wildest perosn live in concert you could go see at pine street or the starry night. Southern Fried steel is still power metal rock to us but the lyrics actually mean something we are so proud (my husband and me) to see him keep going where most of us have dropped into family life
he brings us back to our youth! Matt is God! we used to chant at the wild dogs shows and his musical output never ceases to amaze me- when we emailed him to see when the band is playing live he infdormed us that He plays all the instruments except for drums. we knew him only as a crazy singer!.cheers bottoms up! kudos!..and we can play this at the office

Cool, classic Riffin' and Non PC lyrics make this a keeper. It's cool to hear music like this that is real. Not a corporate mandated Pop rock thing - but a from the gut honest type of music. Dig in and party like it's 1979!
