Album Notes
"This Is Water" is where Smooth Acoustic Soul meets Dynamic Indie Rock. Mixed with other influences of R&B,Jazz, & Folk, this album stretches the Adult Contemporary genre while staying true to a common theme of Soul and Passion.
From the stripped acoustic "Sweeping Up Memories" featuring a muted trumpet by the "spot on" Steve Falkner to the full production of " Sometimes" which includes a killer Horn Section and jaw dropping Gospel Choir, this album has a little bit of everything . Two of the favorites have to be those I wrote about my kids. The first the head bobbing "You'll be Fine". Maybe the most unique of all the tracks, it has more of an old school Jazz sound featuring the sick saxophone skills of Johnny Mag Sax. Its basically a song filled with advice on how to treat a lady for my 4 yr old son Jackson. Think Michael Buble meets Jason Mraz. The next is the Sentimental "Closer to the Moon" A song inspired by my daughter Hope(Who also sings on the track) who asked me one day.. "Daddy, will you take me closer to the moon? "Along with my Daughter, I was lucky enough to have 2 amazing voices sing with me on this album. Heather Godwin does a beautiful job blending harmonies on "The Hurt" and "A Little More", but her featured vocals on 'Catching Stones" are full of soul and are like ear candy . The amazing and lovely Larue Howard, leads the choir on "Sometimes" and "How Easy", is featured on "Snake Nation Mountain Woman" & is the voice that gives you chills in the end of "A Little More" . I am very proud of the great musicians, vocalists, producers, and all that took part in the making of this record. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.

This Album became a reality through a Kickstarter campaign entitled "Lets Make A Record Together". I had always dreamed of making a full production record but never had the funds until the friends, family, and fans made this a reality. I am forever thankful to all the believers who made this possible and I am very proud of what we accomplished. It was made with a tireless amount of dedication and driven by inspiration from the fans that made it possible. 12 songs.. For better or worse, its all of my heart and soul"

This album is dedicated to the memories of my great friends, Guy Cowie, Scott Tucker, & Ross Parker who taught me to believe in myself and were unyielding in their support of my music. I am honored to present this album to all " the believers" that pledged to my kickstarter campaign and made this dream possible. I am humbled by the love and forever thankful to each and everyone of you.

Platform This is water. It's how we see others and whether we choose to see the dark or the light. It's finding the similarities in us while accepting the diversity. Remembering the view from the shore differs greatly from that of the sea, but it's the same body of water and both hold pain and beauty. This is water.
