Album Notes
This track is off the Borderless album - a cd written and developed for the Borderless Project which narrated the story of Female convict settlement in the early days of Australia. Songs on the album sing about the horrendous journey from Ireland and England which lasted 6 months under horrific circumstances; the hardship of settling into an unknown country without family, having to make new friends and a new life; how important the bond between the convicts became to them - a new family; the strengths that these women had to develop and finally what a lasting impact that had on shaping Australian society as we know it today.
