Album Notes
Headlining stadium sized shows is every bands dream. The closest step to that is supporting massive bands that are already headlining stadium-sized shows. This is the stage of their career where the 5 piece exotic-pop fun makers find themselves at present. Mayan Fox have supported and/or performed with Jet, Powderfinger, Thirsty Merc, Tame Impala, Nicky Bomba (John Butler Trio), Brian Cadd and more.

Mayan Fox have just returned from a tour of Canada, introducing their music to a crop of new fans and landing a coveted showcasing slot at the North by North East Music Festival. (Other Australian bands featured this year were Art Vs Science and Kym Churchill).

Mayan Fox toured New Zealand and Queensland last year on the back of their debut album ‘Outfoxed’ which received rave reviews for its fresh and hooking melodies. The album was produced by Mayan Fox and Govinda Doyle, (Angus and Julia Stone’s ‘Big Jet Plane’). A new Mayan Fox offering can be expected very early in 2013.

Mayan Fox are known for their highly charged live show and front man Nate was recently quoted in Tsunami magazine as saying “Anyone that sees us live can tell that we’re having a lot of fun and it consequently allows the audience to lose their inhibitions and get a little crazy.”

The Mayan Fox line-up is completed by Maria (Nate’s latino wife) on ukulele and keys, Tai Shan Fox on bass, Shannon on lead guitar and Hong Kong’s own Vincent Tong on drums.
