ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Re: the music

Compositionally these pieces reflect my ongoing interest in form, not from its being predetermined but in how it is created and evolves from given material. These works are not "free form" but are freely formed by the individual and collective consciousness,( and subconsciousness), of the artists involved.

That being said I sincerely hope you enjoy the hell of out of them.

Re: Collar City Creatology

Troy, NY located on the east bank of the Hudson River, approximately 150 miles north of New York City, is also known as the Collar City due to the 19th century proliferation of detachable collars for mens shirts which were manufactured there. A city of varied ideologies and productivity, two other leading exports,(in their time), were pig-iron and ladies of the evening. Additionally, Troy is the hometown of Uncle Sam, baseball great Johnny Evers, actress Maureen Stapleton, author Richard Selzer, the phenomenal baritonist Nick Brignola and now Collar City Createology.

Peace,
MB
