Album Notes
The Wild Combo was a modern hybrid of american dance music styles played by a mixture of east coast americans and eastern europeans. It's blues-jazz-funk-punk-rock-pop. It's hip hop blues with deep funk grooves.

Influences are Willie Dixon, Captain Beefheart, James Brown, Duke Ellington, the sound of baseball cards in the front spokes and a balloon in the back spokes, the sound of earth vibrating heard only in the quietest canyons of Utah, the sound of an entire circus rolling down the side of a mountain.

This CD was made during a very fun and loose time in the musical development of Chris McDermott and is well worth checking out!!

Very unique and energetic
I remember actually buying this CD from Chris himself when he played at the Newport Blues Cafe' in Newport RI back in '99 or so. All i can remember is how energetic that show was in that small club. It was a very different from what your would expect to hear in a bar an Thames ST. in the late 90s. Chris and his band were on fire and very tight. It brings back memories pulling this CD out after so many years, good ones. I'm glad i still have it. His latest release entitled "Radio Ghosts" is a must have also.

Bigger Than Elvis
This guy has a sound like no other! He is the best live musician you could see these days if you can find him. This album is a mix of power blues, funk, punk, and lately he has mixed in some hip-hop. He plays a blistering guitar and has such a range it has to been seen to believe. Trippin Out is one of those songs you can put on in the car, roll down the windows, and slam the pedal to the floor. There's something wrong with the world if a musician this talented is selling fewer records than N'Sync, Brittney, or Faith Hill. If you're sick of plastic music this album will fill your soul.
