ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Expressing a stylish sophistication from a more elegant era, Beth McDonald performs throughout the mid-Atlantic region with various formats of the New Legacy Jazz Band, providing tasteful background and featured entertainment at public and private venues such as the Avalon Theatre, Four Seasons, the Ritz-Carlton, the Princeton JazzFeast, country clubs, historical mansions, and area hotels. But on most days, this "sultry songstress" can be found doing ordinary mom things, since her first job and first love is taking care of her two young boys.

This project includes jazz and pop standards from the first half of the 20th century, as well as four of Beth's most recent compositions and even a Tom Waits tune. Beth was thrilled to work not only with her favorite musicians but with Chris Biondo, the engineer/producer who recorded the late Eva Cassidy and who has given the world a great gift by bringing those recordings to light.
