Album Notes
McInnis’ Kitchen performs music inspired by the traditional Celtic music from Ireland, Newfoundland and the Canadian Maritimes. They have been featured at festivals and concerts internationally and have appeared on television and radio programs in the US and Canada.

McInnis’ Kitchen concerts transcend performance and evoke a special world of traditional culture and storytelling, giving their performances a feel of a downhome kitchen party. Their music encompasses a tradition rooted in a colorful history of immigration, uprooting and relocation, and a celebration of life and culture in their most basic forms.

McInnis’ Kitchen features the rare talents of four musicians with close family ties to the traditional music and culture of Newfoundland, Ireland and Cape Breton, NS. Each share a strong foundation in the traditions, culture and traditional music of their individual respective traditional cultural upbringings.

That mix of cultures and music shapes the unique sound that is McInnis’ Kitchen. They collectively share a common thread of respect in honoring and growing their respective cultural music traditions. That chemistry has been successfully endearing international audiences, everywhere they perform.
