NME's Rick Martin said
McKinney’s debut ME ME ME shows that Marc Ash is more than capable of putting the female rock contingent back on the map

UK. T.V.’s CHANNEL FOUR said “declamatory slice of non-politicised Grrrrl rock”.

Organ Magazine
This is cool, this rules, McKinney make ultra sassy fuzzing fizzing slightly psychedelic grrrl pop rock. They got soul, real big soul, they got smile, real big smile. Locked on Motown drums, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club flavoured psychedelia and they know when to take their foot off the pedal and refocus the drama ah yes pounding, edgy, seductive? a damn horny sound. They sound like they’re from California, they’re actually from Manchester , think Bangles with sassy fuzz, think Dandy Warhol’s locked on forward movement. This is very very cool, this really does rule. Perfect"

With co song writer Mike Simii's background in the late 80's Madchester scene (signed to Factory Records and extensive tours with New Order, The Smiths, Happy Mondays, and The Cult) and, as song writer for BFG, gained one of the "Singles Of The Year" in MELODY MAKERS end of year reviews, this album was always going to sound a bit special.

The album has already gained wide spread play listings on UK radio stations and the band are viewed by many as a Must See Live act.

Fantastic sound, fantastic singer, fantastic voice, fuzzy girl rock at its best!
Surreal is super charged and oozing with sexual energy, very live, wide sound, great rock beat. A change of style with The Hurting, moody, with samples, but like the lyrics. Wedding Dress takes you to another place altogether, bluesy, sexy and emotional to the human female heart! An album with the edgy feel of Blondie, Avril Lavigne and touches of Sheryl Crowe but with a deep spine of origionality. Great!!
