ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Fans forever have been comparing Mehdi Hasan and Ghulam Ali, and each side has been trying to prove one better than the other. We at E.V. believe that both of these legendary artists are unique in the art of ghazal singing and each has a style all their own to render it. To put a stop to this unreasonable comparison for good, E.V. presents three ghazals (Two by Farhat Shahzad and one by Dagh Dehlavi) that were composed by the 2 singers at different times with an entirely different expression, mood, and feeling being exacted on each title. These ghazals were performed on different occasions by both artists, separately.

Track 1, 3, 5 Composition: Ghulam Ali
Track 2, 4, 6 Composition: Mehdi Hasan

Track 1, 2, 4, 6 Poet: Farhat Shahzad
Track 3, 4 Poet: Dagh Dehlavi
