Album Notes
With her VOICE Karin MELCHERT, has enthralled many international crowds for over 20 years. Being among the top singers in her country of choice, Luxembourg, she has crossed many boarders. She is known to a wide audience for her interpretations of POP, CHANSONS, MUSICAL, JAZZ and other styles.

Now, with the release of her third album REASON FOR LIVING, she not only displays her talent as singer, but also as songwriter an lyricist.
“To me, the LYRICS and MESSAGES my songs contain are just as important, if not more important, than the music itself,” says the artist.

The sound that flows through the different musical styles which makes the album characteristic is the stunning guitar of Marty Townsend and the sound of Sebastian Matz´s Leslie organ. Real strings give a magic touch to some of the songs. Also noteworthy are the bag pipes on "Too Late" played by Cyberpiper.

Just like the title song of her second album "Sometimes" the single "How Can I Breath Without You" from REASON FOR LIVING made it straight into the top charts in Luxembourg.

Great Voice - and great songs
Yes at first you have to grasp the concept of having many different styles on the album but what a great voice. I also like the guitar playing (Marty Townshend). But above all some songs are really outstanding.
My favourites:
How can I breathe without you ('santana'esque)
Taller than a mountain (like a Dixie Chick)
Spanish Fly

Hotel California is a really nice cover version but I like her original comopsitions better.
