Hold On

by Melina Soochan

This album is the culmination of several years of work, both in the studio and on stage. However it is but one snapshot of where I am at right now in my career. I am thankful it took this long to grow to fruition, I am now much wiser than I was before.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I have always resisted being pegged into any one musical genre.

From my teen years when I used to think of my music as "alternative", through my studies of both classical and jazz piano, through my years of performing in all sorts of venues and events - everything has changed, yet it's all the same: a fusion of styles and moods and stories to be imagined and to be told in the best way I know how: in song.

I have learned to seek and cherish perfection and dedication in all I do and in the others I work with. That's why I am now surrounded by a great team of musicians I can truly rely on to understand me and my music, whether for studio work or for live performances, big and small. No small feat in itself as we really want to shatter the stereotype of the unreliable artist. We are passionately professional in what we do. We do it for the love of the art, but would love to be appreciated for it in return.

I hope you enjoy my album and the songs within. If you ever come to one my shows, please come up to me and let me know.
