Album Notes
Melissa Bent has been singing since she was a child. She has a very strong voice and the joke is that during sound checks, the levels have to be changed drastically once she's "warmed up." Melissa began playing guitar over 11 years ago and leads worship at her church, Calvary Chapel Boise.

This album began as a whim. Melissa wasn't sure she would ever have the money to complete an album that would be worth listening to. Then a kindly member of Melissa's congregation offered the startup cash to begin work on the CD.

Five years later, Melissa graduated college with a BS in Mathematics and a finished CD in hand. Jesus Be the Center, named for a track on the album that Melissa says, "embodies what I feel this CD is about," was released in June 2005.

I heard this girl singing and I just had to purchase her CD.Her voice and music have nice style its easy on the ears and a peasure to listen to.She reminds me a little of Alison Krauss but she definitly has her own thing goin on.The very best of luck to her

Melissa has a sweet soothing sound in the likeness of Alison Krauss. It is fun to listen to and I never get tired of it. I could listen to it all day every day.

Melissa, would you be interested in doing a week night concert for a youth ranch in Garden Valley for at Risk Teens, located in Garden Valley. Go to www.projectpatch.com
18 teenage girls and boys who would greatly benifit from your ministry. From a father who has a teenage girl attending the school. It would be a huge uplifting time for the kids and minister to there hearts. Signed a fan and fellow Calvary Christian memeber who gets spoiled by your music all the time.
Call or email me any time. Of course if you say yes we would need to get approval by school staff.I'll work on that part!
