Album Notes
Melissa holds her A.A.S. degree in Educational Interpreting, is currently working on her bachelor’s in Biopsychology with a minor in English - Writing, and in her spare time is a poet, freelance photographer, and singer/songwriter.

Melissa’s acoustic country music is a reflection of her unique storytelling ability, witty sense of humor, and years of experiences that contribute to her impressive collection of material.

In August 2004 Melissa moved from her hometown, Wausau, Wisconsin, to Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. There, she worked as an interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing while continuing to document her life’s journey in the form of music. In July 2007, Melissa released her first all-acoustic CD, When I’m Gone. The CD includes ten tracks of original material Melissa put together during her two years in Alaska, and also during the transition back to Wisconsin.

Since learning to play guitar at age 18, Melissa has been playing small venues throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Iowa whenever she’s had the opportunity. With musical influences that include Jewel, Keith Whitley, Reba McEntire, Patsy Cline, John Denver, and Lori McKenna, Melissa has still managed to develop a style all her own.

Melissa was born in Wausau, Wisconsin and currently resides in La Crosse. On April 9, 2009 Melissa released her second all-acoustic album entitled, Live at Corner Coffee.
