Album Notes
Mel and Vinnie have been singing and playing blues roots and environmental music up and down the Hudson Valley for twenty five years. They mix topical, inspirational, and everyday life songs telling a story of life here in the valley and beyond. Vinnie was born and raised in Brooklyn but fell under the influence of music from the Mississippi delta at an early age. Mel is the daughter of a blacklisted Republic Aviation union organizer. She began her career as an educator but was soon drawn to The Hudson River Sloop Clearwater where she was a sailor and singer. Between the two of them they have something to say and play
