Album Notes
6th & San Jacinto is the debut EP of Austin singer-songwriter Memphis Kee. The 5 track EP hits all notes from the storytelling style of Robert Earl Keen on the murder ballad, "Sam & Kate", to the lead-off track, "Dreamers. Thinkers. Dewars.". The title track, a fan favorite, "6th & San Jacinto" tells the story about the first he came to Austin in the early 2000's. Shouts-out to the late Austin icon, "Leslie", Whataburger, and breakfast tacos make this a sing-a-long at live shows. "Perils of Being a Giant" is his perspective on the current status of the individual public servant in our society. And perhaps the track voted easiest to toe-tap to, "Secret Lives", a straight up honky tonk song about some of the interesting secrets that everyday people live all around us.

This record hits all the notes of "Americana" from the brutal truth of "Sam & Kate" to the ears back rocker that is "Dreamers. Thinkers. Dewars."
