Album Notes
Memphis Rub is a 4-piece band from the Sarasota/Bradenton area of Florida, performing a blend of blues, rock, funk and R&B. The band features "Guitar Gary" Drouin, bassist/vocalist Scott Matzke, keyboardist Dan Ryan and drummer Jayson Moss.

In 2016 the Memphis Rub Band began as a collaboration between guitarist Gary Drouin and bassist Scott Matzke, who wanted to form a band that performed music focusing on electric blues and rock 'n roll, while adding a bit of funk and R&B to the mix.

Keyboardist Dan Ryan liked what Gary and Scott had in mind for the band, so once they had a drummer Memphis Rub began playing shows at a wide variety of venues and blues festivals up and down the Florida Suncoast, putting their spin on tunes by artists such as Delbert McClinton, Tommy Castro, Ace Moreland, Curtis Mayfield, B.B. King, and Buddy Guy as well as writing and performing their own original material.

In 2017 Jayson Moss joined the band as drummer, adding a heavier blues-rock sound to the band

Memphis Rub released their first album, "Taste", in November 2018.
