ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Celebrating Australian language, humour, character through song, poems, story and yarns. Songs and stories about shearing, dogs, the weather, hats, drinking, mateship, travelling and hats. Rediscovering the heritage of Australia through its past word of mouth stories, literature and songs. We do live shows at all kinds of venues across Australia - halls, theatres, pubs, wineries, community centres, festivals, libraries, bus shelters, backyards. Australia has a particular humour, perhaps born of the hardship in convict and colonial times, that comes through in the language (words, phrases), attitudes, stories and songs. This is still well and truly alive, especially in country areas, but under threat from all pervading global media creep.
