Album Notes
It all started with a $39.00, 1963 Silvertone (Sears), turquoise, paper route financed, white pick guard, Ritchie Cunningham, Git-tar. Merle Dean has been performing since he was 12 years old. He Started on guitar and went to keyboards with only one year of lessons. The CD "Dues Paid" features his keyboard talent along with his songs and vocals. A short Bio can be found on www.BODlive.com. This CD was produced by a famous and great musician who has played with Paul McCartney, Glen Frey, and many more. His guitar work is on a majority of the songs. His name is Duane Sciacqua. Songs reflect Merle's years of roadwork performing all over the United States, Canada & Bahamas for 40 plus years. CD contains two songs written by one of Nashville's great writers, Becky Hobbs, a personal longtime friend of Merle's. The studio musicians on this CD are some of the finest. Mike Chapman/bass, Vickie Carrico/vocals, Dave Francis/bass, Dug Grieves/guitar, Steve Holland/drums along with Becky & Duane. A guest appearance by a young and upcoming singer Katie Admire can be heard on the harmonies '62 Chevrolet. A guest appearance by another upcoming musician Shawn Williams can be heard on '62 Chevrolet which features his talented fiddle playing. Merle Dean's Dues Paid is a great listening album with a lot of interesting history...check it out. Thank you!
