ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Geographically unique, Wentworth is situated at the meeting place of Australia's most important rivers - the Murray and the Darling. Teeming with wildlife, and an area of great natural beauty, Wentworth is known for inspiring its many local artisans. From the haunting cry of the butcherbird, to the echoing croak of hundreds of frogs in Thegoa Lagoon, Wentworth has its own natural symphony to lure the weary traveller to rest awhile and absorb the serenity that pervades this unique region of Australia. Songs Of The Darling captures the beauty and splendour that is the Darling River.

A note from Merrilyn Air:
In 2015, Dee Craig (Artist/Silversmith) and I established Rivertrack Studios, after moving from Adelaide, South Australia. The people of Wentworth have been fantastic in making us feel welcome and part of a vibrant community. The natural beauty of this area inspired me to record this album. I would like to thank Caroline Madge - cello on 'Lock Ten', Looperman - digeridoo on 'The Boobook', and Dee for constant support and encouragement. Finally to you, my deepest gratitude for supporting this project.
