This entire album was recorded in a stream-of-consciousness session on piano and keyboards. On the night my father passed away my grief was overwhelming. Finally at about 1 a.m. I sat down at my piano and played. I'm not really sure why but I hit the record button and after an hour or so, 'Breathe' was born and I felt more at peace than I had for days. Breathe is not music I would have typically played but I reasoned that if this music helped me then it would likely help others in their grief, and so I arranged to have the tracks professionally mastered and subsequently released on CD. People started telling me their stories of how Breathe had helped them. Mothers were playing it to calm babies and students were playing it while they were studying and others said it de-stressed them. I don't make any claims - you will have to judge for yourself, but Breathe set me on a very different musical trajectory and creating relaxing and calming music is now my life's work. This album was the beginning and I hope you enjoy it for what it is.

It's funny how I imagine life to be,
And more amusing when I realise
It's so different than I thought.
In this moment I can finally see.

I laugh at myself more than before,
And joy and pain go hand in hand.
It's so different than I thought,
In this moment I am totally in awe.

In this moment there is nothing I can't deal with,
In this moment there is nothing I need fear.
It's exactly as I think.
In this moment....

I breathe
