Michael G McGee - Bio
Since the tender age of 8 yrs old Michael G has known what he would someday do..... Be a Rock Musician!
When asked how he got started on this path he told me the story. (Quoted) "I was walking down the road with a friend one day and he had a boom box with him. I heard this sound like thunder coming out of it, it was like nothing I'd heard before. Then I heard this Raspy high energy, Big attitude voice singing (I'm on the Highway to Hell). It was the greatest sound I'd ever heard. I went out and bought every cassette I could find of AC/DC...to my parents dislike....I actually had to hide my music from them....As I listened to this Music for awhile I began to know this was what I wanted to do more than anything on earth..I Started learning tunes like "walk all over you" and "Sin City" that's how it all got started."

In the 8th grade Michael got with a couple of guys and tried starting a band (1st attempt)
The guys set around and played for the summer but by the time high school started the little band was history.
Michael went several yrs trying to find some musicians to start a band and kept on playing, listening and learning.
Right after high school Michael ran into a drummer and things got going, lots of practicing and searching for more members.
Other members were found and then gone and found again. this became a revolving door for a couple of years till finally he was in a good tight band....They played around in some local contests and did a few shows for some Schools ...ect....the band was starting to realize they had to write their own tunes to get anywhere....The Bass player brought in a piece of material with a few words......Michael took this home and worked on it and a little ditty came out called "City of Pain".

The band tried this tune and realized (Hey we can do this) So the band and Michael wrote a few more tunes and finally made it to the studio to make a 5 song demo with little funds and resources, the band got the Demo done in 12 hrs...
This was passed around and soon the demo had some fans.
The Bass player liking computers and the internet came up one day with the idea "Let's put this on the internet and see what happens".
The songs were put on a few sites and on one in particular started doing well.....3 songs stayed in the top 20 for around 6 months on "The Music Monster Network"
Michael even got a call from a couple of agents from LA.
Needless to say the Band split and went their seperate ways.
Michael set around for a few years and finally decided he'd just do it himself.
He built up some equipment and pulled out some material he had setting around and wrote a few new songs.
This is how He ended up here with the Solo CD "Social Insanity"
This is only the beginning; He is already starting on material for his second CD.
He told me the other day "I can write music and make CD's as long as I live ....the imagination is unlimited!"

Michael Rocks it like it should be RAWKED!
Yeah....I think Michaels rock music is some of the best around! He has a flair for details and every song he does ,he puts his whole self into it!Has that classic feel...yet completely his own.

I actually found this artist on the MIXPOSURE site. Saw he was a fellow cd baby artist, and decided to look him up. Man this dude just blows me away!! His songs are so tight and alive I'm almost jealous. This cd rocks to high heaven, especiall for a dude who is a one man band! This stuff is what rock music is all about. And yes I'm putting my money where my mouth is, I'm purchasing this disc. And if you want a fresh sound from a good artist, you should too. 70's and 80's influences(Leppard, Cheap Trick, Eddie Money) actually sound original compared to the current popular crap we are forced to digest from FM radio these days.
