Album Notes
A fun period in 2011 creating a bit of a "concept album" - TIME TRAVEL, foolin with many styles from Classic Rock to Narlins 40s, to Folk, and of course through my obsession with Beatle-oid music and Prog rock narcissism. Again, style for me is always secondary to the Melodic. Some songs i heard on the edge of sleep...a favorite place for me to get free melodies. Thanks to the universal radio station where we all get our melodies. And thanks to my music comrades Phil Robertson on drums from Canada and Jose Gude on tracks from Seattle. Also to Kenny Rocks Martinez for recording and laughter, track 9. I now reside in Narlins, La and the computer / internet revolution continues to free musicians everywhere to create art and beauty outside of the big and corporate ;). Sweet Freedom, my underlying theme. And as Zen philosopher's intimate, I sing for the same reason the bird sings.
Hope you Enjoy! Michael Brown
PS. This album was mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London, which is quite the thrill for me, having my music pass through such hallowed ground ;)
And a bit of tribute to Rod Serling's Twlight Zone which I watched on many 3 to 4 am bouts of "insomnia" during the making of this album.
