Album Notes
Since 1986 I have been conducting healing workshops worldwide, and have continually experimented to find healing and forgiveness exercises that are effective. I have found that a particular exercise can be effective for one person but not another. Accordingly, I was led to develop a series of exercises. Over the years workshop participants asked if these exercises could be made available so they could repeat them. This has resulted in the Healing the Cause: Self-Help Exercises 1 and 2
This is Michael Dawson at his most down-to-earth and practical. Each of these exercises are in the form of guided meditations. Most exercises begin with a relaxation process and an invitation to Spirit to enter into the situation, as the healing agent. In Michael’s usual clear, concise, no-nonsense style, each exercise goes straight to the heart of the issue in question.

I found the meditations are liberating, deeply healing and comforting, being based on the premise that what you accept/forgive can be released and healed - and if you're not ready to do that, that is fine too!

1. Self-forgiveness
Aids us in accepting and forgiving the parts of ourselves we dislike.
2. Accepting and healing all aspects of ourselves
Leads us on a journey to find and heal aspects of ourselves of which we are unaware.
3. Going past the illusion of sacrifice
Helps us to learn that there is no cost or sacrifice needed to gain peace.
4. Uniting with another - exercise for two people
How to look past the ego of another and experience the highest in them.

1. Forgiving others
Helps us to heal relationships.
2. Changing your perception and finding peace
Aids us in returning to a peaceful state.
3. Reducing physical pain
Helps lesson pain and look at the 'message' it can have for us.
4. Changing perceptions of another - exercise for two people
Looks at how we project onto others and how we can change this into spiritual vision.

Michael discovered the book 'A Course in Miracles' whilst visiting the Findhorn Foundation, Scotland in 1982. He subsequently became a member of the Foundation for about six years and involved himself with healing and teaching. In 1994 he published Healing the Cause - A Path of Forgiveness which serves as an introduction to the Course. His second book, The Findhorn Book of Forgiveness uses exercises, stories and case histories to guide the reader to inner peace through forgiveness. Michael now lives in Australia and gives workshops on the Course worldwide.
