ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Michael Drabik is a singer-songwriter that discovered a love for music at the relatively late age of twenty. While bed ridden with appendicitis at Indiana University, he was transfixed by a live recording of John Mayer's called "Any Given Thursday," and decided music is what had been missing in his life. After transferring to a school in Wisconsin, he started writing and performing regularly. After college he returned to his hometown, a suburb outside of Chicago, and spent two years honing his craft and drafting a dream. He decided to buy into a life of adventure and packed up, quite literally, a suitcase full of his clothes and his guitar and took off for New York City. Over the past two years in New York he has worked on finding his sound. He's focused on becoming a better guitar player, singer, songwriter by practicing obsessively, while taking in the sights and sounds of the Big Apple and inculcating that into his sound. This self-titled EP is the culmination of the past six years of Michael's writing life into four songs. He's hoping that this is the start of a long career of making albums. A life of turning sentiments and stories into melodies, harmonies and rhythms. Sometimes playful, sometimes pensive, but always musically stimulating, Michael is an artist that you're going to want to keep up with.
