Album Notes
GUMBO is a compilation album featuring originals and covers while being a self-made product from the inside out. Leaving synthesized technology at the door, Michael releases an album that is raw, unplugged and artistically his - all the way down to the cover art, which depicts the band that played on the album painted in Michael's very hand... a true artist!

This album features Michael Grimm with musicians Bruce Wallace, John Wedemeyer, Dave Hart and Jim Buck (depicted from left to right on the album cover). Also making cameos on the album are Lenny Lopez, Danny Garay, Ines Zak and Lucie Zolcerova.

"This is a fun summer album of some of my favorites that I wanted to give to the fans to enjoy," says Michael.

Michael Grimm's "Gumbo" is a recipe for music magic!!!
Michael Grimm has re-awakened a passion for music in my soul. His voice is so full of emotion, you can feel every note deep in your heart. His original songs tell of his upbringing & life up to the present day. I feel like I know him personally without ever having spoken a word to him. I feel his pain, his joy, his love & his heartbreak. I own all of his CD's and that is a first for me. His newest CD "Gumbo" is exceptional & his original "Michelle" is the most beautiful "Michelle" ever written. "The Tide" about losing his hometown to Hurricane Katrina is a memorable song that anyone that has ever lost an important memory in their life can relate to. "Money" is an outright complaint to how life unfortunately works right now. His covers of 'Crazy Love' & "Down on the Bayou" make them his own. Michael Grimm can sing anything from Christian, Country, Rock and the best 'Blues' ever...Can't wait for his next CD!

Michael Grimm's newest CD - Gumbo
I have loved Michael Grimm's voice and choice of songs ever since I saw him on American Idol in 2010. All his CD's have been outstanding, and this new one, Gumbo, is no exception. Michael sings with such expression and emotion. It took me one listen to pick out my favorite songs: I love the upbeat rhythm on Crazy Love, Born on the Bayou, and Gasoline Alley. I'd better watch my speed if I'm listening to them in the car cuz its easy to get caught up in them! Michelle and Momma's Eyes, on the other hand are so beautiful and just send chills down my spine. Gumbo shows that Michael can sing just about any genre and do it so well. It also shows what an amazing songwriter he is. I love The Tide, which Michael wrote...if I'm not mistaken, it was written about Hurricane Katrina. His grandparents lost their house in it, so the song has even more meaning to it because of that. ...Since the day Michael won America's Got Talent, I just knew he would continue to bring in many more fans in time and more people would love his music. With this new CD, Gumbo, I think he is even more on his way to doing just that. Thank you, Michael Grimm, for giving your fans the best music possible!!

This is another great album showing Michael's wonderful talent. Great summer listening and get up and dance. My favorites are "Wide River to Cross" and " The Tide" (two very moving songs). You have to listen to this album all the way through to really get the true appreciation of all the songs and Michael's true ability to once again reach out and touch our very soul. Michael, you are a true and great talent ranking up there at the top of the list......

"Keeping It Simple" and sounding great!
Enjoying the " Gumbo" CD very much.....especially the original selections.

Amazing as always..
Another awesome Michael Grimm album. I have all of them and his versatility never ceases to amaze me. It's like the guy can sing anything, going from Van Morrison to Bob Marley and then to Terry Reid and Rod Stewart and even adding some country in there; it's truly fascinating. And, the fact that he produced this album in his own home says a lot about his overall musical talent and ability besides his powerful soul voice. All in all, you can never go wrong with a Michael Grimm album; I highly suggest getting it if you want to listen to a true artist.
