ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
LATIN ACCENTS is a unique album featuring accordion and cello duets. These two instruments are extremely versatile, playing bass notes, chords, melodies and harmonies, creating an unexpected and welcomed full sound between two people. In addition to Cellist Michael G. Ronstadt and Accordionist Sergei Nirenburg, Cincinnati’s multifaceted and multi-genre percussionist Stan Ginn and extraordinary lute player Christopher Wilke perfectly season the already flavorful blend of tunes. On this album you’ll hear pieces from Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, France, and Venezuela. Some tracks also explore the Ladino traditions, boleros, and American jazz standards.

Sergei Nirenburg:
A Russian-Israeli-American accordion player, composer, arranger, and singer, whose musical career spans 4 decades, 3 continents, and many musical styles.

Michael G. Rontsadt:
An adept multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and composer, Michael G. Ronstadt has been captivating audiences throughout North America for nearly two decades. A master at his craft, Ronstadt traverses a mélange of musical styles that range from anywhere between folk, jazz, classical, Americana and the wildly ethereal.
