Album Notes
In this debut album the Naad Maala (duo) of Prashant and Sanghavasini Ananda Ma offer an energetic and danceable, yet meditative album of mantras and chants. The tapestry of instrumentation (beats, textures, counter melodies) underpinning and often overlaying the chants are symbolic of the inner symphony of the 72,000 subtle channels ( nadi ) in the human subtle body. The musical instruments are voices constantly and ecstatically conversing with the sacred mantras and chants. The intention was to be true to the profundity of the ancient Vedic melodies of the mantras (which mainly utilize three tones in different combinations). The western sense of harmony and the world music influences infuse the chants with an ethereal, devotional and universal quality that is compelling and intentionally danceable.

I love this album
I've been singing the mantras all morning - and it makes me so happy. Heart wide open. I loved the arrangements and the voices. It's beautiful and powerful and very very special. Thank you and blessings.
