ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
People call his playing "exquisite," "unreal." Could you imagine meditating or getting body work to rock classics like Freddie Mercury's great "We are the Champions" or David Bowie's intense Space Oddity, or "Ground Control to Major Tom"? Could you drift off to slow, spacious versions of "Time to Say Goodbye" and Gershwin's "I Loves you Porgy" so tender your heart comes to peace? Imagine the softer-yet piano of Michael John Hall. And doze off to more classics like "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning and "Amazing Grace" (which Hall also calls "Amazing HU" in honor of a spiritual love song he chants daily). Even Van Morrison's "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You" and Joe Cocker's "You Are so Beautiful" can lull you to a new depth. Hall's ethereal original pieces, "Love's Call" and especially "Helene's Lullaby" give you and hour of music that will slow your heart and deepen your breath. Michael John Hall's 6th CD was recorded in the serene recording studio "Spirit's Studio" in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
