Album Notes
Nashville singer-songwriter, Michael Krejci, writes introspective songs with poignant content and memorable melodies, often referencing the very essence of country music: love, loss, and everything in between. Influenced by the likes of early Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks, to Hank Jr., Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard (on the country front), combined with songwriter legends such as John Fogerty, James Taylor and The Beatles (on the rock front)… Krejci’s music is best described as “rootsy country with an Americana edge.” He sings like he has something to say, something to get off his chest… something you need to hear. It’s no coincidence his honest delivery and charismatic vocals have been compared to some of his favorite singers: Bruce Robison, Radney Foster and Lyle Lovett.

"Broken In" is Krejci's third full-length studio album (second solo album) and features nine original songs that run the gamut from downright country and Americana all the way to a more mainstream, contemporary sound. Krejci also offers an authentic interpretation of the Steve Earle classic, "Guitar Town," which features guitar slinger, Eric Heatherly, on the track. All of the songs are produced well and feature some of Nashville's finest studio musicians. In addition to acoustic/electric guitars, keys, bass & drums, additional instruments include Hammond B-3 and pedal steel.

Other releases by Michael Krejci include his critically-acclaimed debut solo effort, "Out of the Blue" (January 2007) and his highly anticipated duo-project, entitled, "Lovesick" under the billing of “Michael and Becca” (July 2010). The latter includes a rendition of the popular recording, "Wagon Wheel," made famous by the Old Crow Medicine Show, and more recently, Darius Rucker. Both of Michael Krejci's previous releases are available on cdbaby, iTunes, and Amazon.
