ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
My name is Michael T. Grant and this past year I recorded my first original album entitled
“15 Going on Crazy”. Since all 11 tracks on the album were inspired by real people and events I like to think of it as a musical journal. Although people of all ages might enjoy my music, the album speaks to teenagers fighting the battle known as High School. My songs touch on heartbreak, depression and complete confusion with a pop/rock/musical theatre sound.

Music is truly what I want to do in life and I have been singing since I could speak, playing piano since second grade and began writing music at age 11. I sing and play piano on all 11 tracks and was exhilarated when I got the opportunity to record my music. In August 2011 a producer contacted me based on a YouTube video from a local benefit performance where I sang “What I Like” and we began working together and recorded all fall. My producer Jon Leidersdorff of Lake House Music, and I started off with “writing sessions” where the music evolved and became this CD.

I am so thrilled to release my first album and I think any teenager dealing with standard teenage challenges can relate to my music the most. We need to realize that we are all the same, we are all going through similar problems and we can get through the hard times together. Our parents lived through these problems, we will live through these problems and so will our children someday and it’s okay! “I know there will be a day when I won’t let these problems faze me. But for now. . . I’M JUST 15 GOING ON CRAZY.”

I really enjoyed the songs and it is great to see a young person singing songs that relate to their age group rather than singing about adult issues. Am sure many teenagers will spend hours listening to the songs.
