RIDING ON THE WIND

VERSE: Am I coming or going? Lord I sure don't know I'm just riding on the wind No matter where I go.
Loneliness seems to hang with me Time and time again Trying to search for answers Always riding on the wind.
Love has turned me down once more Seems like somehow I'll never win Memories flying around in my head Keep me alive.
Every day I drift away Hangs the hope of a lasting love Reaching for someone And always riding on the wind.
CHORUS: I'm just riding on the wind Not getting very far Trying to shake love's lonely past Always reaching for a star. Life can be so unfair But I try and try again Always looking for true love Just riding on the wind.
VERSE: I'm riding on the wind for sure What a cold and lonely flight No matter how hard I try To find happiness.
Nothing ever turns out right Love's got to be out there somewhere If you think you found true love You'll find me riding on the wind.
REPEAT CHORUS

Michael “T” Torre
Singer / Song Writer / Artist / Poet

Michael’s home town is Rochester NY, where he still resides today. At the age of 8 he picked up his Dad’s guitar and wrote his first songs titled “It Can Happen” and “Since You’ve Gone Away” The songs were later recorded by a local band, aired on three radio stations and won a battle of the bands contest. As he continued to write for other bands, his vocal skills were discovered while competing in a singing contest and landed him several appearances on cable TV.

Michael’s biggest dream was to record his music for everyone to hear. His dream came true when he released his first CD titled “Eclipse”. To his surprise two of the songs off the CD received a Billboard Award. The first one to win was titled “The Image Within”, Michael wrote this song for an eight year old boy who’s Mother was murdered, it was a heart wrenching tragedy that pushed his talent to write one of the best lyrics ever written in his career.
The second and most recent song to win a Billboard Award is titled “Did I Hear My Name”. This is a great up beat song with a great story and a twist in the end, he received The Honorable Mention Award and proudly displays it at his home.
Another song getting a lot of praise from the media is titled “Riding On The Wind”. Michael Co-wrote this song with famed Country Writer George La Flame. The premier entertainment monthly magazine, “The Country Western Corner”, wrote “Riding On The Wind, writing by George La Flame and Michael Torre is an example of their super writing and performance talent we need to get this out to be heard on radio”.
Freetime Magazine also wrote “Michael’s vocals sound like a combination of Steve Perry (Journey) and a little Smokey Robinson Completely polished and passionate and one of the stand-outs on this CD is “Riding On The Wind”.
Another review from Rising Star Magazine wrote “ Michael Torre’s song “Out Of The Darkness” is so smooth and powerful it will grab your heart and pull. The feeling in this rising star vocalist’s music is overwhelming. Here comes a real Keeper we need today”.

Michael’s love for the Arts has given him great passion, not only in music but in other creative areas such as Painting. His Paintings have been in Art shows through out up State New York and he’s even been commissioned by Art collectors for his works. In an interview with the Gates News Michael said, “ there is know question that God has given me this wonderful gift to create music and to find the right words to tell the story.
Poetry is also a passion of his, his poem “Faded Images” was chosen for publication in the Poetry Book “Reflection Of Innocence”

Michael loves people and he loves to perform, these two elements came into play along with compassion for an eight year old boy who witnessed the brutal murder of his Mother. The boys Father had been killed several years before in a motor vehicle accident which left the boy without his parents.
Michael along with WKLX Radio Station organized one of the biggest Rock Concerts in the City to raise money for the boy.
Michael even got Lou Gram the lead singer of the legendary Rock Group “Foreigner” to make a special appearance, eight bands played that night to bring in close to $20,000 in donations.
Michael’s music is a great combination of unique styles that will not leave you disappointed.
