Album Notes
Michon was raised in a very talented musical family, and learned to play various instruments and sing at an early age. She is a talented vocalist, and her rich alto voice endows her songs with great warmth. Michon\'s love for music has led her down many musical paths, and her taste in music is eclectic, including classical, rock, jazz, country, Taiko drums, and Gregorian chant. Michon discovered Celtic music through the group Clannad, and immediately fell in love with it. Her favorite celtic artists include Clannad, Solas, Enya, and Celtic Woman.

With “In a Fair Country,” Michon explores some of the roots, branches, and offshoots of Celtic music. A small selection of classic hymns with celtic roots are lovingly rendered on this album. She also includes some of her favorite traditional celtic songs, such as “A Health to the Company” and “Greensleeves.” In addition, Michon retells the ancient folktale of sibling rivalry and a magical harp using archaic plainsong, in the original composition, \"The Two Sisters.\"

With the exception of “A Health to the Company,” Michon composed all of the arrangements on this album. “A Health to the Company” was arranged by the very gifted Mark A. Givens.

This album represents several years\' research and effort, and is the culmination of Michon\'s love of celtic music.
