Album Notes
M.I.C. is back with a new lineup and new album. In early 2009 they put their new material to the test by pounding it out in nightclubs in and around Chengdu. By May they had thirteen worthy songs that were recorded in the studio and set to go. The new lineup boasts two new Chinese members: Huang Hongliang on bass, and Zhao Qian on drums. Both are long-time veterans of the Chengdu music scene, and together won first prize at the "Red Iced Jazz Festival" with their jazz-fusion band, "Tian Fang Ye Tan". The newest addition to the group is Angela Renzetti. Hailing from Seattle Washington U.S.A., she provides rhythm guitar, backing vocals, and much-needed enthusiasm to the group. Having toured China the last year, she also brings some theatrical experience to the band’s live show.

The album features different styles ranging from Punk, Rock & Roll, Ballad to Melodic Rock. In addition to the mix of Chinese , American and Canadian influences in the project, an international lineup of special guests from Japan, U.S.A., & China are included as well.

M.I.C. Rocks!
The new release from M. I. C. really rocks! There's no two ways about it. It is exciting and fresh. Each song has its own character and charm. Personally, I like "Tell The Lies" because it's hard rocking and fun. Well, actually, all the songs are hard rocking and fun, so you can't go wrong with any of them. Enjoy!!

Good sh%$ bro; love what you're doing with M.I.C. I particularly like Who Do You Love. Keep up the good work and keep knockin’ & rockin’!

Sweet Little Rock N Roll
If you're yearning for a blast of good old, unabashed and unadulterated, Sweet Little Sweet Little Sweet Little Rock N Roll, then M.I.C's newest release is just for you...Just got my copy of Out 2 Rock in the mail a few days ago, and already it's growing on me like Fat Moss on a Rolling Stone. Filled with catchy riffs and choruses, this unpresumptious album is one I can already picture myself playing at an all day gathering without hearing anyone asking, "Can you change that?". Of immediate note is "Who Do You Love< performed in the lead singernote

Mike O'Neil : lead vocalist for Wednesday (LAST KISS)

Good solid material
Got the CD in the mail finally. It's in the CD changer in my new Silverado right now. I really really like it. Good solid
material. Great drum sound. Out front where I like it. What do you use for pedals on your guitar most of the time. I'm trying
to pick them out. Not sure which track I like best yet. Too soon. Forever In Your World is really good. Like the chord changes.
I like listening in my truck. Bose system and no distractions.

So I'm still listening to your CD on my trips back and forth to Pickering. I like to kind of immerse myself in it. I don't like
giving any music 1 or 2 listens. Really impressed with your guitar work. You have a keep it simple style out front and more complicated stuff in the background to support it. Very nice. Good tunes buddy. Keep it goin'

This album is certainly a must have Melodic to Hard Rock CD. It's starts with the punkish "Sit On You" who has already had
airplay in Germany, then the Rock/Pop single "Who Do You Love" that's been playing on various radio stations in Europe and Canada. "Out In the Rain" is another Rock/Pop followed by "Hot Summer Day" a Pop feel good summer beach song (Billy looks at Betty, Betty waits for Gerry).
"Forever in your World" a psychedelic romp into the 60's, starts off with a sitar solo intro. The Heavy Rocker "Can't Live This Way"
then come the Pop ballad "Something To Say" with superb guitar solo harmony, good wedding song. "Tell The Lies" a screaming heavy Rocker
that will make you want to scream for more. "Rockin' Lucille" just rocks like any Chuck Berry Rock n Roll song. "Can you hear me" Rock/pops away
from a slow beginning to a drenched keyboard climax. The 80's metalish "Can't Let You go" will certainly make you sway your head from side to side.
"What you Doing" is another Rock Popper, then the album finishes with a Pop cleaner sound "Between the Eyes".
All and all it's fine feel good album that you should have in your collection..

rock n roll
my favourite from MIC. (didnt listen to his latest yet!)
very catchy songs, they are easy to hum over, and they flow perfectly when riding your car.
a small gem for any rock lovers !

What Ever Happened to Feel-Good Rock?
This second effort for MIC shows the band's true potential. These little demons from the East just might be responsible for resurrecting solid rock and roll the way it was meant to be. Many of us have thought about technology, technique, and big production for so long that we've forgotten that music can be straight forward and fun. After a good listen, the guys in my band here in Japan are happy to have been able to contribute a few tracks to this project. It feels good for them to be part of this project and the music that has crossed so many international borders. If you ever wondered what happened to feel-good rock this is your answer!
