ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This is Midas Digs' first professional album coming from a long history of performing and experimental writing from Daric Moore. Primarily taken from a low point in his life these songs deal with loss and the struggle for self identity. Moore and drummer Mike Morrow recorded the album at Bentrabbit Studios in Astoria, Oregon with help from some local musicians including Luke Ydstie, the double bass player for the Portland band Blind Pilot. Both upbeat rock and roll as well as melodic acoustic tunes share the bill here with the emphasis on intensity of feeling. These songs elicit emotion, with the lyrics matching the music to portray the experience of being broken, searching in the dark and discovery.
