Album Notes
This is the fifth album release from Mike Bogle and the first outing on the Hammond B3 Organ. Mike was nominated for a Grammy award in 1992 for his arrangement of Chick Corea's "Got A Match?", which he orchestrated quite handily for the University of North Texas One O'Clock Lab Band, Mike is a talented performer and producer, specializing in jazz, latin, pop, rock and other genres with strong focus on piano, organ, keyboards, trombone, vocals and songwriting. A review from 2016 from Dee Dee McNeil regarding Mike's "Live At Stoney's" CD stated "Bogle always manages to put a little blues on the stove when he cooks. This is an outstanding jazz trio that I would pay big money to see in the intimacy of a club, or on the grand stage of a concert hall. Bravo!"

B3 Best
The title is fitting since Mike's students always refer to him as "Dr. B!" . If your ear likes the Hammond B3 Organ, you will be groovin' from the start of Cherokee and if you aren't cracking a smile by the time you get to Mike's low voice on "Splanky / R. 66", you will be sure to be laughing out loud by the time you get to "Walkin'". Mike Bogle was born to play that Hammond B3 Organ, as well as kickin' the bass, while Rich McLure is killing it on guitar, and Ivan Torres is divine on drums. This CD is simply great and also loads of fun!
