ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Mike Cea is one of San Diego's premier jazz guitar players. He has been playing guitar for over 30 years, and can currently be found playing local gigs throughout the greater San Diego area. To learn more about Mike, check out his Bio section at www.mikecea.com .

Mike's first album Java Jazz has been released and is currently available.

Tipping his hat to the numerous San Diego coffee houses that have served as performance venues for his archtop artistry, Mike and colleagues offer sensitive & swinging interpretations of a fine mix of classics and originals.

Included are: Triste, On Green Dolphin Street, My Romance, Johnny B. Blue, Isn't It Romantic, Destiny, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, Alone Together, Here's to that Rainy Day, Polka Dots & Moonbeams, Alice in Wonderland and Strollin'. Joining Mike are Bruce Grafrath (bass), Dennis Rota (drums), Debbie Cea (vocals) and Holly Hofmann (flute).

Mike plays a Buscarino Custom Jazzman 7 w/ LaBella strings through an Acoustic Image Clarus head w/ Raezer's Edge cabinet. Here for yourself what this gear sounds like in the hands of a great player!

excellent c.d. It inspires me to play.
I initially heard a sample of this cd while surfing the web. I am happy that I purchased the c.d. and am impressed with Mike Cea's guitar playing along with the vocal pieces. Java Jazz inspires me to play. I look forward to another c.d. by Mike Cea.
