Album Notes
The Diary Of... is a labor of love and passion - the passion that I have for music as a means for communication and expression. Each song, each individual track, is a musical diary entry over a span of more than three years.

After 30 plus years as a musician and faithful sideman, I felt an overwhelming need to do this project. Bass is such a beautiful instrument but it's usually in the shadows. This disc puts it in the spotlight!

The music is very honest and personal. If an idea didn't sound or feel natural to me, I didn't use it.

The Diary Of... is a celebration of faith. Several tracks, notably High Praise, Joy In My Soul, Grace and Mercy and First Light, are expressions of praise and worship.

The Diary Of... is a blend of my favorite music - jazz, funk, fusion, r&b and gospel. The ultimate gig, for me, would include all of these tunes on the set list!

Most of all, though, I want The Diary Of... to be fun and a recording that people will want to listen to over and over again.
