Album Notes
Sweet, subtle songs of discovery, recovery, relationship, and personal growth from an insightful, compassionate songwriter.

Mike Greenleaf is a Seattle born singer-songwriter, now living in the Arizona desert, who has been writing and performing for over 40 years. His songwriting is heartfelt, intelligent, at times humorous, deeply personal and influenced by a wide variety of musical styles. Genuine songs about real life. Over the years Mike has developed a charming, eclectic, individual approach to finger-style guitar, and his smooth, warm, baritone voice has an easy, open, intimate style that speaks directly to the heart, allowing a gentle spirit of hope and kindness to shine through.

The songs are from 2008 to 2011 and reflect the beginnings of discovery, early growth in a new life which began in 2005. That life is the rebirth of an ancient, defeated dream slowly, patiently becoming real. A quiet dream of acceptance and belonging, of understanding connection and purpose. A dream of finding meaning. Grandpa's Dream.

Exquisite performances by friend-musicians Keith Lowe, William Limbach, Bruce Hall, David Lanz, Jacob Greenleaf, Laurie Haslund, and Walter Gray, bring a smooth shine and excitement to the songs, which come in an eclectic mix of styles that always surprises and keep the listener tantalized.
