Mike Lange is a piano player/singer/songwriter/bandleader who has played thousands of gigs in the mid-Atlantic and a handful overseas during the past two decades. Over the years he has performed with many of the top bands in the Baltimore/Washington area both as a bandleader, member, and as a highly sought after freelance musician. His original music has been featured on numerous radio stations in the mid-Atlantic area including WRNR, WPFW, WTMD, and WHFS. He is perhaps best known for the group Mike Lange & Boogie Express.

Founded in 1993, Mike Lange & Boogie Express specializes in high-energy, up-tempo, jump blues, boogie woogie, and swing. The band also has a vast repertoire of low down blues and roots rock as well as New Orleans and Caribbean selections. The band has performed countless gigs since its inception. Typically the Boogie Express performs in a five-piece format with Mike on piano/lead vocals along with guitar, tenor sax, bass, and drums.

Mike started out in Baltimore specializing in blues piano and later branched out into boogie woogie, swing, rock'n'roll, and more recently Caribbean music.

Since moving to Annapolis , MD , Mike also performs frequently with some of Annapolis ' best known bands including Them Eastport Oyster Boys and The Tiki Barbarians.

Them Eastport Oyster boys is a highly successful ensemble that performs almost exclusively original material which celebrates life on the Chesapeake Bay . The success of this unique Annapolis band has taken them well beyond the Bay. They have performed outside the U.S. on many occasions including performances in Ireland , Estonia , and Nova Scotia . The Tiki Barbarians is an Annapolis-based party band which Mike co-founded in 2005. The Tiki's play an eclectic mix of material which includes blues, Caribbean music, boogie woogie, roots-rock, swing, and Dixieland among other genres. The Tiki Barbarians are known for creating a fun party atmosphere. Mike plays piano and sings most of the tunes at the Tiki Barbarian performances. Many of Mike's original tunes are typically included in the set list.

Mike's live performances and recordings have won the respect of many audiences over the years.
