ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Without a doubt, Mike Mitchell's best recording to date, "Dead Center" follows a traditional Bluegrass Album model and has some of the finest pickers in the business. Produced and banjo-ed by Sammy Shelor (of Lonesome River Band) with Wyatt Rice on guitar (Tony Rice Unit), Jacob Eller on Bass (Sierra Hull and Highway 111), Jeff Midkiff on mandolin, Will Farmer (Blue Moonshine), Joe Prichard and Shannon Jones (The Recipe) on harmonies. The CD also features Buddy Pendleton (an early Bill Monroe fiddler) on a twin-fiddle tune. Recorded at Mountain Fever studios and mixed/mastered at Blackwater Recording, in the heart of southwest VA's Blue Ridge Mountains.
