Album Notes
Recorded and released in 2009, Mike worked with guitarist Rick Yocum on breathing life into a number of his older songs and a few new ones, with the hope of making the music more accessible to a variety of people for different times of life. As a Christian songwriter, Mike hoped to speak into the varied times of life and the ups and downs, from a Christian perspective as an encouragement for those walking in these various journeys. With the heart of a storyteller, Mike and Rick worked to get the music to help tell the stories, focusing on acoustic guitars rather than a full band setting. Sitting in on the recording sessions were Joey Schumann (Whistles), Scott Mueller (Small Pipes) and Keith Mohr (Piano). Selling close to 2,000 copies in the past few years, this music has been a favorite for young and old alike.
