Album Notes
"Life to the full!" That is the heartbeat of this Christian artist, meteorologist, husband and father of three. With a passion for sharing the life changing power of the story of Grace through Jesus in music and speaking events, Mike loves being part of those "aha" moments when God's word connects to real life. He has been sharing this story as an artist and in his work helping to lead worship for the past 10 years. With nearly 20 years in broadcast meteorology and with a background rich with teaching and coaching opportunities, Mike takes those engaging qualities and applies them to his concert and speaking settings. Mike has been married to his wife Melissa for nearly 18 years and together have three children. His full time work is with the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where he serves as the Director of Operations for the meteorologist intern program "Innovative Weather". He has served for over 7 years as music director and outreach coordinator for The Point of Grace Campus Ministry in Milwaukee and serves on the ministry team of St. Paul's Lutheran in Muskego WI where he leads worship twice/month.

Mike's love of music started at a young age growing up with an eclectic mix of music including Simon and Garfunkel, Handel's Messiah and Alice in Chains As a result his own musical style holds a lot of variety with a passion for the story. Over the past 10 years he has released 7 CD projects and will officially release his upcoming project "Songs We Carry" in 2015 produced with Creative Soul Records with some of the best session players from Nashville, TN playing on this album.

Mike started as a solo acoustic artist and continues to share this simpler storyteller type acoustic concerts with audiences today. Increasingly Mike has been surrounded by some excellent musicians allowing him to bring a trio or full band to many of his concerts and worship settings. As a solo artist Mike brings the heart of the songs and the inspiration behind them, while the full band allows for more musical variety and a wider range of songs to help tell the story of what Jesus called "Life to the full". Whether on a big stage or a coffee house, in a bible study or leading worship, the live music setting is where Mike is at his best.

Mike was born into a Christian family that sacrificed to give him a strong biblical Christian education and a Pastoral heritage from his grandfather Adlebert who pastored St. John's in Bay City, MI to his Uncle Rolfe and Uncle Tom who have only recently retired. Mike was possibly that next link in the line, but felt God leading him to the field of meteorology with the expectation that God would use him in other ways to encourage others in their walk with Jesus. He began developing youth groups and coaching youth basketball as a way to develop Christian mentorship and to encourage the next generation. It was part of his college studies where Mike learned guitar began applying it to songwriting in 2002.

Mike's heart is for the church to be that beacon of hope to the community and to the next generation. To see the church awaken with a passion and enthusiasm for the story of Sin and Grace and with encouragement to the church to "Tell of the lord's great love forever!" Awake and Alive isn't just for the 18-25 generation, it's for everyone who believes in Christ; a prayer we need every day. It is the heart of Mike's ministry.

With 15 years of radio broadcast experience, 8 years of worship leading in Lutheran settings and with 10 years as a national recording and touring artist, God has blessed Mike with an exceptional ability to connect, encourage and motivate people of all ages. With a heart the seeks to connect the "Generations", Mike's concerts and special programs have encouraged and inspired thousands of people over the years.

Whether sharing in an engaging full band concert or capturing imaginations in an intimate acoustic setting, Mike and his team hope that the Christian message through Jesus is accessible for everyone who comes. That it's about Jesus and this relationship that redefines our identity and redirects our purpose as we see the world through the lens of scripture with a life that responds to the gift of Grace that was freely given to us.

Over the years many people and leaders have spoken softly of a desire to see the passion for sharing Jesus in their churches and families rekindled in a meaningful way. We continue to pray that, through Christ alone, this artist ministry will continue to encourage people to be Awake to who they are in Christ and Alive to living it out!
