ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Since first signing to N.C. americana label MoodFood Records (who had just released Whiskeytown's classic debut "Faithless St."),
Milagro Saints have been releasing music and playing live in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area, and nationally, since the late 90's.

About the new CD "Chance & Circumstance", lead singer-songwriter S.D. Ineson says:" We had the good fortune to meet Nashville producer
Jick wins-Low In Carrboro, where he has a home and studio, and we asked him to record our next album.
The main lyrical themes are concern for where we are going with the environment, climate change and sustainable relationships with the planet-
basically LOVE FOR THE EARTH!"

So the Saints have been meticulously recording their original "Poetic Roots Rock" songs (written by S.D. Ineson) and
eclectic line-up (Hammond organ, lap steel, mandolin, dobro, accordion, melodion, vocal harmonies and
guitars and more guitars) for almost the whole of 2011!.
Ineson puts this in perspective "This will be the most time we have spent recording! our last studio album was 10 songs recorded in a couple of days at Durham's Overdub Lane!"

The sound of the group is influenced by the music they love, The Band, Bob Dylan, Allman Bros, Grateful Dead, Neil Young.
with a jamming funky element where the several soloists in the band do their thing.
