ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Do you know that music has the capacity to not only calm down and soothe your newborn, but also to make your baby smarter?

The link between classical music and the increase in intelligence was first examined in 1993 at the University of California in Irvine, United Stated. The study found out that listening to music composed by Mozart prior to taking a special relationships test allowed the students to score better results compared to the control group.

This lift in the ability levels is known as the Mozart Effect, and it lasts for approximately 15 minutes after listening.
The results were confirmed two years later in the 1995 experiment.

Further research will no doubt tell us more, but what we know both from scientists and parents tells us that when it comes to babies, classical music improves their mood, their mental and the physical state, and has beneficial soothing effects.
What we know for a fact is that a fetus can hear and respond to music at the age of just 20 weeks. Newborn babies strongly react to loud sounds – by their movements, my turning to the source of sound and by repeating the vowels.
In the fifth month your baby recognizes familiar voices, and easy songs and melodies at in the seventh month. In the 8th month your baby starts to actively react to melodies.

At the age of one, babies discover the rhythm and learn to deliberately create their own sounds.

When you want the best music for your newborn baby, what should you go for? Even though newborns respond positively to it, classical composers did not make music with children in their mind.

You get the best results with easy melodies and characteristic rhythms with plenty of 'color'. At the same time, you need to avoid stressing and dissipating your baby’s focus with too much information.

All the tracks comprising the Enchanted Meadow album are composed specifically for your newborn baby, and performed by professor Milan Mitic. This beautiful, crisp and tender music depicts the moods in one day of the baby's life, like a story - from waking up in the morning to gently falling asleep at night.

The best time to play the newborn baby music is in the evening hours. After all the daily activities, there is no better way to soothe, calm down and prepare your baby for sleep.

Keep in mind that in this period your newborn depends entirely on you – and music plays such a powerful role in the development of your baby.
