ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"One of the finest jazz groups on the Boston circuit today. Outstanding!"

--Douglas Sloan, Metronome Magazine

Since its formation in 2005, the Mill City Trio has been performing regularly in clubs, galleries and concert venues across New England. The group was formed by three Boston-area veterans (guitarists Jamie Dunphy and Greg Passler, and drummer Tony D'Anna) as an outlet for their original compositions.

The band's debut CD, Solstice, was released in April 2006, and received extensive critical acclaim and radio airplay. Down Deep, the band's second album, was released in April of 2008. Recorded live at the Indian Hill Music Center in Littleton, MA, Down Deep captures the creative, spontaneous interplay that the group has developed over the past three years.
