Album Notes
Forget everything you thought you knew about Jam Bands. One of the freshest, exciting, and unique sounding bands on the scene today is the very talented Mind Open. Instrumental and jazz based, with a touch of rock, Brazilian, and psychedelic grooves, the Mind Open experience is one you have to see to believe. The bulk of the material the band plays is contributed by Vibist Chris Covais, and Guitarist Andrew Ahr. The rest? Rare grooves from obscure groovy jazz-funk, rock, and psych records. Make sure you see Mind Open spread peace, love, and good vibrations through the medium of music, at one of their many shows in New York city.

From the very first note of Bone Nugz N' Harmony, you can tell this is going to be a kick ass album! These guys can sure play their instruments. My personal favorite is Driving With Dryden. This groovy gem is 9 minutes of pure psychedelic bliss complete with an outstanding drum solo. Overall, this is an awesome album. It has been in heavy rotation since I bought it.

Amazing trippy stoner-jazz!!!
Caught these guys at the Bitter End in May. They blew us away! Funky, jazzy, groovy, and psychedelic. What more can you ask for!!

Fantastic album!
No need to book any flights for your next vacation. Listen to this album and let the music take you on an incredible sonic journey.

Nice album.
This is a nice album by a great band. If you like Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Phish, Soulive, groups like that, then you'll probably like Mind Open. The songs are catchy and there are many great jams throughout. I would listen to these guys driving around in the car or at home sipping some red wine. I enjoyed it very much.
