ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
“There is no better example of a hardworking local band than Mindset X. These guys are talented musicians, and I always look forward to hearing what they will come up with next. Unlike some bands that just recycle older material, Mindset X is always creating new music for their many fans."

-Donna Halper; credited with discovering the band RUSH.

Produced by Grammy winning engineer Jay Frigoletto the story of “Oceans” has a distinct progressive edge that revolves around the journey of Jacob - an individual trapped in a never ending pursuit of happiness. Special guests on the new album include John Wesley of Porcupine Tree and Paul Bielatowicz and Simon Fitzpatrick of The Carl Palmer Band (ELP).

The Best So Far!
Not only is this another album to the growing and expansive discography of Mindset X but this album is in my opinion the best so far. From the musicianship, to the lyrical content, to the artwork and pure energy of the tracks, this is an album that demands to be selling big worldwide. I can only hope that more amazing bands like Mindset X will continue to put out music to combat the contrived crap that is played on a loop on every radio station. "Oceans" is a staple album that stands for something important. That good rock music is not dead and will never be dead. Mindset X deserves to be on the top charts and I hope they all continue to release such incredible and interesting music, because I truly look forward to it. If you want something purely epic to blare through your speakers, then pick up "Oceans" right now!
