Mings and Craig is a jazz guitar duo including Jim Mings and Monty Craig.

Jim Mings is a seasoned blues and jazz veteran along with being a 1960's Austin, TX guitar legend whom has shared the stage with Johnny Lee Hooker, Jimmy Reed, Chuck Berry, Janis Joplin, ZZ Top, Clark Terry, Mundell Lowe, Bucky Pizzarelli, Laurindo Almeida, Eddie Daniels, Bob Hope, Bernard Purdie, Ed Soph, Don Thompson, Bill Watrous, Roger Pemberton, Chris Potter, Jimmy Vaughan and many others. Among his early Austin guitar admirers were none other than Eric Johnson and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Eric Johnson mentioned Jim in an article with Guitar Player Magazine as one of his early blues influences.

Monty Craig is currently professor of jazz guitar and jazz combos at Clemson University. Monty attended the University of South Carolina, and Berklee College of Music. He has studied with Christopher Berg, Jim Mings, Al DeFino, Bret Wilmont, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Ben Monder, and Dave Stryker. Monty was a member of the US Army bands for 10 years. He has performed with Ben Monder, Ben Street, Jeff Sipe, Fred Wesley and others. Monty released Rocket Number Nine Zoom Zoom Up on Contraphonic Records in 2003.
